Island Park, Idaho

Island Park, with an average snowfall of about 9 feet per year, is well known for its hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails & acres & acres of open meadows to play in. Ice fishing, and cross-country skiing are other popular winter activities. The Cross-country skiing is fantastic, with groomed trails on the Targhee Forest & in Harriman State Park. In less than a half hour, you can be on the Rendezvous Trail Systemic West Yellowstone, training ground for world-class skiers & biathletes. Downhill skiing at Grand Targhee or Big Sky is not far away, & there’s plenty of fun to be had snowmobiling, skiing, or snow coach riding in Yellowstone Park. The extraordinary fishing, hunting,water sports and ATV trails in the summer all go to make island park the perfect vacation choice.

Island Park is located 22 miles south of west Yellowstone the gateway to Yellowstone National Park and 75 miles from Grand Teton National Park.

Bullhead, Arizona

Bullhead City, Arizona, located just outside of Laughlin, NV, has loads of activities for all ages and tastes. There are great historic and recreational options in every direction. Of course, there’s the Colorado River running through town, providing plenty of activities. Historic Oatman, AZ is only a half hour drive away. By driving an hour and a half, you can get to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon or Hoover Dam or Grand Canyon Caverns or London Bridge. The South Rim of hte Grand Canyon is just a 3-hour drive. For golf fans, there are 7 courses in or near town. Then of course there’s the gambling, entertainment and night life in the nearby Laughlin casinos!

Hualapai Mountain, AZ

Hualapai Mountain Park is a county park and was first developed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The name Hualapai is derived from the name of the Indian tribe that once lived in the mountain. The park encompasses over 2,300 acres (9.3 km2) with elevations ranging from 4,984 feet (1,519 m) to 8417.

The park has cabins, recreation areas, dry camping campsites, hook-up spots for recreational vehicles, and teepees available for rent.

There are 10 miles (16 km) of hiking trails ranging in difficulty, and an ATV trail head which leads to the trails. There is a designated fire escape route to get down and out of the park during wildfires.

The park is managed by the Mohave County Parks department and the Hualapai Mountain Park staff. There are small signs around the park area telling the history of the park, the types of vegetation, and about other features.

Hualapai Mountain is located 12 miles outside of Kingman, AZ.
